1.The Royal Poinciana tree located at Huanan New Village is nearly 60 years old and has long been an important part of the community, carrying decades of shared memories among local residents. Due to its advanced age, the University commissioned the Taiwan Forestry Research Institute, Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan, to conduct a professional assessment in accordance with the tree risk assessment standards of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and the Japanese Society of Arboriculture. During the meeting, the village chief and residents expressed their respect for and support of the University’s decision and agreed to the removal of the tree.
